If you’ve never had a Sothys facial treatment before, you’re missing out, especially if you love everything skincare. Even if you don’t, a facial is a fantastic way to pamper yourself after a long week.
Did you know that there are at least five major skin benefits to having a regular facial, we’ll go through how a facial works, it’s benefits and introduce you to the new limited edition Sothys seasonal facial.
Introducing the Sothys Spring/Summer seasonal treatment for 2022
The new limited-edition line is available in the salon as we head into the spring and summer months get ready for a whirlwind of tropical fruits. If you are a fan of laying out on the beach and soaking up the sun with a Piña Colada in your hand, then this is one for you.
For the next few months, we are offering the Sothys Pineapple and Kiwi treatment. Believe us, it smells divine and the products are perfect for bringing out that healthy glow and vitality in your skin, ready to enjoy the sun.
Pinapple has such a summery smell to it but it’s also incredible for your skin. It contains the bromelain enzyme which is a gentle exfoliant for the skin and it also has some anti-inflammatory benefits which can help reduce puffiness in the face.
Kiwi is a fruit with high levels of vitamin C which helps with discoulouration of the skin, if you suffer with sark spots or dull complexion then this will be fabulous for you. Kiwi also has hydrating properties which is key for healthy skin.
How does a facial work?
Facials have many benefits, but before we get into that, we want to give you an idea of what to expect when you visit the salon. A facial can be made up of a number of different massages for your face and products that helps improve the quality of your skin.
The team at Ana Harmony takes the time to get to know a little about your skin before proceeding with the facial and product treatments, here you’ll want to mention any skin issues including sensitivities and allergies so that they can work with your skin and not against it.
After this, you’ll be taken to the treatment room to lay down, relax and let the team give your face a massage whilst exfoliating, cleansing and moisturising your skin.
Five ways a Sothys facial improves the skin
- Exhilarating exfoliation – the Sothys seasonal facial includes a mask exfoliant with pink clay that breaks away the dead skin cells leaving your skin softer and healthier. We recommend that you don’t use an exfoliating treatment at home for a couple of days before your facial
- Skin hydration – exfoliating and cleansing allows your skin to clear out any of the bacteria and dead cells, but it can also cause dehydration of the skin, to counteract this, the team will infuse your skin with a oxy-vitamin radiance treatment which helps to replenish the water content of your skin as well as much needed vitamins. Learn more about hydrating your skin in our recent blog post.
- Relaxing your nerves and muscles – your skin is hard at work all day and so are the muscles, nerves and lymphatic system underneath. Massaging the face relaxes the facial structure, in the same way that an athlete gets a sports massage to reduce tension in their bodies. As a skincare benefit, you’ll notice that lines and wrinkles are lessened, the massage helps with blood circulation and oxygen movement.
- Slows down the signs of premature ageing – relaxing your facial structure and using Sothys products for facial treatments are two great ways to slow down the signs of ageing on your skin. Dull skin, lack of plumpness and dehydrated skin are three of the main culprits for showing ageing on the skin, and they’re all worked on during your facial massage.
- Gives you the chance to speak to the beauty experts about your skin – this isn’t a direct benefit to your skin but during your facial, the beauty experts will be able to give you all kinds of information on your skin type and advice on how to best care for it at home. If you want to see the benefits of a facial after your session it’s worth grabbing some tips for your beauty routine from the team.
